Antje Laidler graduated from the special art diploma course at H. B. Beal in 1977, and studied under Bert Kloezman for two further years specializing in etching and monoprints. In recent years she has worked primarily to on charcoal and pastel drawings. She has participated in numerous shows in public and private galleries and was elected to the Ontario Scoiety of Artists in 1988. Her work can be found in several public galleries in Ontario, as well as in many private collections.
This drawing is one of a set of six works inspired by the gardens of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain.
