David Bobier’s creative practice encompasses public commissions, electroacoustic, performance, interactive installation, vibrotactile, olfactory and whatever modality that best serves the purpose. In 2014 he established VibraFusionLab in Canada providing access to inclusive technologies and supporting greater accessibility in the arts. It explores broader applications of the sensory interpretation and emotionality of sound and vibration in arts practice. Through VibraFusionLab Bobier has gained a reputation as a leader in the Deaf and Disability Arts movement in Canada and internationally. Bobier’s involvement in ongoing research and collaboration in the Deaf and Disability Arts movement continues in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, United States and Canada.
