Bio:
Giuseppe Giardiello (1887-1920) – Italian painter of the late 19th and early 20th century. His oil paintings depict characteristic sceneries of working class life in the idyllic landscapes in southern Italy, mostly Naples or Capri. His portraits fetch less than his larger landscapes and scenery paintings which have sold at Christie’s and Sotheby’s from $7,000 to over $12,000 as recently as 2012.
