Situated within an ethics of craft, labour and the space of the studio, my practice is located within modes of refusal. In this sense, it often considers mechanisms of display, perception, and a desire for deferral. Throughout the culture industry there is an increasing demand to generate work that performs, whereby legibility facilitates an ease of superfluous consumption. Working across sculpture, text, photography and textile, methodologies in which meaning is latent are brought to the forefront.
