Conversely, she addresses the detrimental effects on society from the transformation of forest/farmland through rapid urbanization. Her work has been in group shows and solo show, ‘Rezoning’. Lori has pieces in several private collections. A Print London Steering Committee member and Museum London volunteer, Lori also teaches art to children and adults in low income/challenged circumstances.
Artist Statement:
Trees have been seen as a representational image of spiritual nourishment, strength and rejuvenation throughout the ages. Through the process of print, paint and collage, the restorative and uplifting nature of the forest offers a chance to re-establish a sense of balance. ‘Hush’ suggests a momentary escape from the hectic world that is usually only attained when one experiences nature first-hand.
