Bio:
Joseph Hubbard is well-known for creating witty, intimate, multi-media works which comment on social issues. Artist is a 40 year artist/resident of London, educated in U.S. Public collections which own the artist’s work include the Gardner Museum (Toronto), The Canadian Clay & Glass Museum (Waterloo), Museum London, The McIntosh Art Gallery, Woodstock Art Gallery, St. Thomas Art Gallery, Tom Thomson Art Gallery (Owen Sound).

Statement:
The artist lures the viewer with reconstructed and repurposed familiar objects which become accessible metaphors for widespread concerns. In Entropy/Eros, an ubiquitous but organic parking meter references a human morphime (head), deterioration, obsolescence.
