Artist Bio:
Eric Atkinson was born in 1928 in Hartlepool, England. He was the head of Fine Art Department at Leeds College of Art, Yorkshire 1963-69 until he moved to Canada to Chair Fanshawe College Fine Art. He was Dean, Faculty of Applied Arts, Fanshawe College until 1982, and then Professor, Fine Art Department until he retired in 1994. Atkinson has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions and in extensive public and corporate collections locally, nationally and internationally.
