Marshall moved to London in 1979. He has always doodled but started educating himself in the techniques of graphite drawing in 2005 at the suggestion of his mother and, then seven year old, daughter.
Marshall likes to draw and likes to share what he has learned about art with his friends and the New School of Colour. He got involved with the grassroots, free, art program while a participant at Unity Project for Relief of Homelessness – from which perspective he sketched the study for Alley-UP! The silver lining surrounding the charcoal drawing alludes to the results of Marshalls stay at the Unity Project. Marshall now provides support and guidance to New School of Colour participants Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at the Ark Aid Mission location.
