Parker Branch is a collaborative project by Anna Madelska and Jason Hallows that seeks to find and produce meaningful relationships between art and found objects. Madelska and Hallows live and work in London Ontario.
‘U-Line, 2017, is an extraction: a fragment of an evolving body of work. Materials from previous exhibitions are repurposed, content is folded into new networks of meaning, stuff is shuffled. Pseudo-Masonic shrines to cultural elements (community organizations, bread, salt) are erected, then struck, and loaded into trucks, bundled, and unbundled, bound and unbound: skins, aprons, blankets and furs. U-Line made the blanket, a U line traces the ouroboros.’
