Artist Bio:
Susan Day is a visual artist whose work is predominately constructed of ceramic. She has a long exhibiting history and her work has successfully straddled the worlds of contemporary craft and fine art. Susan’s works have been included in various important national and international exhibits including The Embassy Cultural House, La Chambre Blanche (Quebec City), DIA Art Foundation , (NYC), Archie Bray Foundation (Helena, Montana). and the Banff Centre (Banff. AL).
Susan received her early art education at BealArt in London, Ontario. Following that she studied at Sheridan College of Crafts and Design, in Lorne Park Ontario and ARTSsake in Toronto Ontario, The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD) in Halifax, NS . and a residency at the Banff Centre in Banff Alberta.
Most recently Susan has turned her focus to larger scale public works. She was the lead coordinator/artist with the London Clay Art Centre CelebrateCanada150, a mammoth, handmade tile mosaic just north of the corner of Dundas and Elizabeth and has been commissioned to create more mosaic works along the Dundas East/OEV corridor during the summer of 2018.
