Statement:
David T. Alexander studied at the Vancouver Art School and Langara College and then graduated with a BFA from Notre Dame University. He obtained his Masters degree while researching in New York, London and Paris.
Alexander was inspired by the parks and water features of Tokyo and Kyoto while visiting there in 2006 and in 2008 he circumnavigated North America through the North West Passage aboard Nord 69, an expedition that consisted of artists, scientists and writers raising cultural and environmental awareness towards global warming.
David Alexander’s art is in many public, private and corporate collections throughout the world, including The Vancouver Art Gallery, Museum London, University of Toronto and Concordia University in Montreal, Museum of Art in Iceland, Canadian Embassies in Berlin, Beijing and Krakow.
