Born and raised in Chatham, Ontario, Samm married into the military and has lived all over Canada. Injured in an automobile accident as a young woman, she has been challenged by disability issues ever since. An interest in crafts led her to try her hand at the visual arts and she’s now been painting at the New School of Colour for nearly four years.
For Samm Dodge, art is relaxing, something for both the viewer and the creator to enjoy. She loves colour, working with her hands and, especially, challenging herself to experiment with new media and all manner of objects.
