Artist Bio:
Born in Stratford Ontario, William Ronald studied at the Ontario College of Art, Toronto and with Hans Hofmann, New York City. His paintings are Abstract Expressionist in style. He was a founding member of the Painters Eleven, lived in New York City (1955-1965), worked as a broadcaster for CBC radio and television 1965-1972, and received a Canada Council award in 1977. He exhibited with RCA, and held solo exhibitions with the MAC and AGO, AIC, Brooklyn Museum, CCAB, EAG, Guggenheim Museum, MMFA, MOMO, NGC, RMG and Whitney Museum of ART, NYC.
