Artist Bio:
Ben Reeves’ drawing and painting practice is an intensive, personal accounting of perception and how the world is realized through pictures. He has exhibited his work extensively in national venues as well as in the US, England and China and had a solo exhibition at Museum London in 2006. His work has been featured and reviewed in Canadian Art, Border Crossings, The National Post, and The Globe and Mail, and is in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and Museum London. Reeves received a BFA from the University of British Columbia and an MA from Chelsea College of art and Design, UK. Reeves was a Faculty of Fine Arts member at the University of Western Ontario in the 2000s and is currently Associate Professor in the Audain Faculty of Art and in the Jake Kerr Faculty of Graduate Studies at Emily Carr University. He is represented by the Equinox Gallery in Vancouver.
