Artist Bio:
Peter Karas is a B.F.A. Graduate of University of Victoria who has been making his living from his art for 18 years. He is part of the London Artists’ Studio Tour and the Gallery Painting Group. Peter is always showing his work in galleries and art fairs and a mural he recently completed can be viewed at The London Community Woodshop at 205 Horton Street East.
Artist Statement:
‘My medium of choice is traditional oil paint. I have always focused on architecture and landscape. I love to paint Plein Air to keep my visual artistry skills up and then also work from imagination. My paintings with houses in them are most often thought up right in my head. I like to use bold and bright colours and interesting perspectives. The piece I donated, “Long Winding Road” is from imagination.’
