Statement
Jonny P was an old neighbour. I would pop by his house late at night when everyone was sleeping and he was painting. He’s a scavenger – old bottles, glass, anything interesting. He’s an interesting person. Sweet. Transacts and communicates in real time, in person. He runs a gallery at 988 Bathurst in Toronto, called Weird Things. Half the gallery is found objects and his wood carvings, intricately painted, and the other half is other artists’ work.
Jonny P has shown in New York, Vancouver and all over. Jason and Heather have a lot of his work, including several pieces they commissioned. We obtained this piece in a trade.
