Susan Day is an established artist whose ongoing body of work explores her interests in human interactions overlaid with images of flora and fauna and excerpts from her journal. The dual hardness and fragility of the medium is used to represent the same qualities in our bodies. Susan’s art practice includes very large scale community generated public art pieces in addition to more intimately scaled hand built vessels and large ceramic tablets. Susan’s work successfully straddles the worlds of visual art and fine craft.
